Invitations and Calligraphy

This week is just flying by!  I am blown away from all of your responses to my website and thank you all so much! You sure know how to make a girl feel good!

Yesterday I told you a little bit about me and what I am dreaming to achieve for the wedding planning side of my business, but today I want to tell you a little more about the digital design side of things.

I quickly learned from my own wedding that pulling inspiration from anywhere and everywhere isn’t the best game plan.  So my goal as I work with couples is to make sure that we have a solid design plan before we start planning all the details!   I really believe one of the most successful ways to build an event is to start with cohesive colors, fonts, and graphics and then use them throughout the wedding. Everything from the initial save the dates, to the invites, place cards, favors, and thank yous at the end are cohesive and they match the event!

I think of the initiation suite as an introduction to the event and love creating a custom suite to really reflect the couple.  I think the same way when designing an invitation suite as I do when designing the full event-I focus on making it unique to the bride and groom’s personalities!

I love incorporating watercolor and calligraphy as an additional custom element.  I taught myself calligraphy when I was planning my wedding and it’s one of my favorite skills.

I love coming up with new and creative ideas to create a custom invitations and stationery items to really make events stand apart.  I feel like the opportunities are endless and it’s one of the easiest things to customize and really tell the bride and groom’s story!

Don’t forget to find me on Instagram!  Today I’m giving away adorable notebooks by Brittany Fuson in honor of my launch!

Cheers!
