So my website has been live for a whole day! It still doesn’t seem real that this is really happening. Hopefully you’ve had some time to look around, but if not, I’d love for you to take a look and tell me what you think!
I have a little bit of information about who I am on my About Me page, and a little bit about what C&C is all about on my collections pages, but I wanted to get a little more personal and in depth for you today.
I’m Lindsay! I’m a new wife, puppy mother to two fur balls, daughter to my amazing parents, and older sister. I work full time in the corporate world and am striving to build a boutique wedding planning business. I love to read, shop, travel and spend time in the sun. I believe in love, family, dreams, and fairytales.
I fell in love with all things wedding planning and design when I was planning my own wedding last year. I loved every minute from choosing vendors, to designing the details, to planning the timeline. So, I started out with an Etsy shop while I was still planning my wedding--selling stickers and other favors. I chose my name because I wanted a cute, catchy name that incorporated both events and design. Chevrons and Champagne were both things I loved.
As I started to get closer to my wedding day, I got so busy that I had to close my Etsy shop. (I’m in the process of relaunching it for custom work) After my wedding I started dreaming of doing more than just little stickers and favors and instead focusing on full service wedding planning and design. I really felt like the wedding industry in Davenport, Iowa had so much potential to grow and it was missing a boutique style planning company that focused on small details and modern touches. So I’m taking a leap of faith and hoping to change that!
My dream is to focus on event design and work with couples who want a unique wedding that is a perfect reflection of them. I love Pinterest, but believe a wedding should be so much more than a picture perfect day focusing on the latest trend. I want to sit down with the couple, get to know them, and then create details that describe them. I can’t wait to start working with some amazing brides!
Be sure to follow me on Instagram to enter the fun giveaways I have going on this week in honor of my launch! Today I’m giving away a few of my favorite things including a Mr. and Mrs. ring dish, a Target watercolor note pad, Essie nail polish, Kate Spade paperclips, and some pretty pens.
